It's unfair, but true. This is a really personal work of art, and I loved your observations. It's been a while since I've seen it, and your screengrabs brought back so much. I had forgotten about the colored bits of fabric on the old woman's hand. <br /><br />That second section, as brutal as it is, plays like a cliffhanger, as thrilling as any great car chase ... only the stakes are so much higher. And yes: when she stops, but the camera keeps swooping on, it is devastating. <br /><br />I'm glad, too, to highlight another female director from Iran. They are many and they face even more restrictions than their male counterparts. I had hoped to do a couple more reviews of the really good Iranian directors who happen to be women, but it wasn't meant to be this week. Maybe later. <br /><br />I hope a lot of people decide to see this film based on your review.
